701 AIR BASE
"Handing down knowledge to progress continually towards new knowledge"; this has been in the vocation of the Ecole de l'Air (Air Force Academy), since 1937
The only one in France, its trains 80 Air Force officers per year, giving them a very high level of military, scientific, human and physical education. These officers are destined for "ground" or flying jobs. 
Some fighter pilots leaving the school demonstrate their capabilities with the famous French Patrol. Today it is composed of eight Alpha jets and is established in the heart of the Salon base.
It has been there since 1964. The fruit of the performance of several generations of keen pioneers in air acrobatics, it is the symbol of aeronautical progress and human performance continually discovering new limits.
